Home Remedies For Dry Scalp

Remedies for dry scalp are available from your dermatologist, over the counter at the drugstore and in your kitchen cabinet. Dry scalp can be caused by a number of factors but are ordinarily the same things that work on the rest of your skin both environmental and dietary. We are quite good about treating our dry skin with moisturizers and body oils, but because the skin of our scalp is under our hair we sometimes forget that it is subject to the same drying conditions as the rest of our dermal layer. Luckily there are a number of uncostly home remedies that can help you deal with this problem.

There are two basic remedies for dry scalp: massage and moisturizer. Massage will enhance circulation and that in turn will help your scalp furnish more of the natural oils that not only keep the skin from getting too dry, but also make for shiny, healthy hair. Once you have dealt with existing dryness, a 5 exiguous head massage once a week can go a great ways towards insuring that your scalp restores a level of healthy oil production, preventing the dry scalp from reoccurring.

Healthy Snacks Recipes For Kids

There are many distinct home remedies for dry scalp, and which one you select will be mostly up to personal taste and the time you have to devote to treatment. The process for these home remedies is the same, no matter what the recipe - Massage the combination into your scalp for 2 to 3 minutes and then wrap your head in plastic wrap and a towel for an added 5 minutes. Rinse wholly with cool water (for at least 1 minute) and then shampoo as normal. Two of the most productive recipes are 1) Mix together " cup olive oil and 10 finely crushed aspirin, apply to scalp - and 2) Simmer 12 tablespoons of oatmeal in 6 cups boiling water for 1 hour, strain oatmeal reserving water, add rosemary oil to oat water and apply to scalp.

Some of the most tasteless causes of a dry scalp are the weather, allergies, air conditioners and irritants found in your shampoos and styling products. You may want to think about swapping your shampoos and styling products to ones that exclude harsh chemicals. A combination of massage, moisturizing and easy to make home remedies for dry scalp will ensure the recovery of your natural oils thus liberating you from the dryness and irritation you may be suffering with.

Fun Healthy Kids Snacks: Double Chocolate Chip Muffins

Fun Healthy Kids Snacks: Double Chocolate Chip Muffins Video Clips. Duration : 6.82 Mins.

hotandhealthyliving.com Simple to make and delicious to eat, muffins can be a super healthy snack (or breakfast) for kidsif you make them with healthy whole food ingredients! Unfortunately your average everyday muffin (both store-bought and homemade) is not very healthy. Most muffins contain an excessive amount of sugar, unhealthy oils (usually some sort of highly refined vegetable oil) and refined flour. In other words, most muffins are really just cupcakes in disguise. And sure, kids love muffins---because kids love cupcakes! While I seriously doubt any child will mistake these muffins as cupcakes, they are still tasty, they are absolutely healthy and your kids will eat them (especially if you let them help out by measuring the ingredients and mixing the batter!) You can feel good about yourself giving these Double Chocolate Walnut Muffins to your kids pretty much anytime of day (you can even feel guilt-free eating them yourself!) Blake loves them for breakfast and after school snack (especially delicious when served warm and topped with all-natural peanut butter or almond butter.) In comparison to your average muffin recipe, this version contains less than half the amount of sugar. Instead of sugar, most of the sweetness (and added moistness) comes from the two potassium rich bananas. Its also spiked with omega-3 rich flaxseeds and walnuts plus nutrient-rich wheat germ, its made with wholesome white whole wheat flour (which has the same nutritional value and fiber ...

Coaching Youth Football - The Snack schedule

This is a tough one especially if you are coaching a younger youth football team. My personal view is there is no need for a snack before the game or at the half. I am not even a fan of it after the game since the kids are more concerned about getting their food and not listening to the coaches.

We live in a democracy so plan on the kids getting something. The younger the team is the more likely there will snacks. This is where the Team Mom needs to assign a program for the families. I try to keep it to just a beverage, like Gatorade and only for After the game. One year I allowed for oranges at half time since the parents view it would energize the kids. What a nightmare! The kids used more vigor pushing each other over to get to the bag of orange slice. No one listened and the player left orange peels all over the place. Half time was spent cleaning the mess made on the field. I have seen some teams have a "party" at half time with all kinds of cookies and other stuff. No way will I allow snacks at half time. If the personel parent gives you a hard time tell them to bring something for their kid and the parent can feed it to them while you speak to the team at half time.

Healthy Snacks Recipes For Kids

I need to remind myself I am out here for the kids and if snacks are important, then I will try to accommodate that as long as it does not interfere with the coaching.
